MAGOGO Blasts ALDRINE NSUBUGA And Calls Him A Clown – The cold war that has always harbored between FUFA president Eng. Moses Magogo and renowned sports journalist and new vision writer Aldrine Nsubuga, seems to have taken another twist over the weekend.
The local football governing body boss took their war to social media, calling Aldrine a clown, a hypocrite, traitor among many other things.
Part of Magogo’s detailed post on his Facebook timeline reads:
“It is strange but true that one person combines these attributes; Novice, Traitor, Clown, Selfish, Greedy, Joker, Ashamed, Jealousy, Embarrassed, Hypocrite and a bad propaganda job.”
His post followed a story by Aldrine Nsubuga titled ‘Shaban won the Presidential MVP Award’, published in the Sunday Vision dated 11th December 2016 in which the journalist questioned the moral of the 2016 Airtel FUFA Awards that went down on 2nd December 2016 at Speke Resort Hotel Munyonyo.
Part of Aldrine’s article read:
“Apparently, FUFA have an unwritten resolution never to allow a professional player win this award (the MVP award), because they have their own objectives.”
During the awards, Onduparaka FC striker Mohammad Shaban beat Dennis Onyango, Erisa Ssekisambu, Farouk Miya and Joseph Ochaya to win the MVP accolade, something many have criticized since then, even when the FUFA president begs to differ.
Another part from Magogo’s detailed post read:
“Who will forget an event where Aldrine served the largely Muslim football community in Ramathan with pork at the 2008 Awards, at Golf Course as an event organizer? Does he have a moral authority to talk about FUFA Awards? Ashamed and Embarrassed he should be. How can Aldrine, a man who was donning an Argentina Jersey on a day Uganda Cranes was playing in protest of the Cranes, be voicing for Onyango? Did he really vote for Onyango as a football person he claims to be? Hypocrite and Traitor.”
